- I happily announce that last Sunday ElvenRunes had
its very first birthday. At first the site was on payed server, but
luckily Dorn was able to offer a new server and more
bandwidth, that would satisfy the heavy traffic that goes around on this
site. And ofcourse we cannot forget Axel! The guy
behind all the codings of ER, especially the rocking log section and all
the comment and discussion boxes. And last but in no means least:
Vaire and Earendil who are the main
brains behind this project and site, and without whos ideas the site
wouldnt even exist.
- On 16th June Echo will celebrate his first
anniversary of marriage. I hope it will continue for many years!
- Rumour goes that there is a strange hobbit clan
growing. Those little fallohid creatures smite, spell and even will
portal. So watch out you evil creatures as a storm of furballs rolls
your way!
- As I met one dwarf a few days ago, he also stated that first time in
his quite young life he saw trolls in Blue Mountains. Checking with the
historian, indeed I found that last year* a group of trolls and orcs had
marched as far as Blue Mountain gates, causing a lot of panic and havoc.
The quicker people retreated to Grey Havens safety, but those slower-
had to pay with their lives. During the long war, cities of Bree
and Fornost fell, and almost whole Shire was slaughtered.
- Have you ever wondered who is the most travelling char around arda?
Perhaps the Bree storyteller might help you in that case. If you are
kind enough to buy him a beer or two, I am sure he would answer your
question about the best travellers. As most of the players compete in
exp and levels, I myself think that gathering travel points is even a
more noble task- and it always brings some new experience around.
- Enforcer and I (Liliah) are
planning a short trip to Finland on 14th June, as we have a possibility
to go to a music festival-Provinssirock- and see one of our favourite
bands. As for most other finns, many of them will take part of Nummirock
on the last week of June. That ofcourse means a lot of sun, metal bands
and beer.. as Yeoma would put it: I like the vitamin B
diet!- Beer diet!
- Some builders around Arda have received a promotion to continue
their work (especially around our much-waited Fangorn). They include:
Everminda (Mb), Gonfor (Mb),
Isoldir (Mb), Jahara (Mb) and
Shalin (Mb). Other Fangorn promotions:
Verathos (Mc), Saeth (Mc),
Badin, (Mc), Grimble (Mc) and
Conklin (Mc).
- And last but not least Norsu has reached level
99. Rumor has it there will be a pwipe when he hits
100. Could this be true?
