Killing linkless people who have noquit or novoid is made possible by the code to prevent possible abuse by dropping link in a life-threatening situation.

A: Not if this was a cross-race kill.

If this was a cross-race kill, cross-race equipment transfers (as well as other cross-race cooperation) are illegal. Since linkless deaths are treated by code and rules no differently from other deaths, no special arrangement can be made for any kind of compensation.

A: Mandos Sleep can occur when a legend character dies. It simply means that the character has to stay for a certain amount of time in the Halls of Mandos before entering the world again. How long time you have to stay can be seen using "info" or "stat" commands.

A: No. After a reboot or a crash you are welcome (and permitted by the account code) to change sides (or log on a mortal after a god) instantly.

Q: Will my mount disappear over a reboot or a crash?

A: You will usually get your mount back after a crash but lose it after a reboot. While this is what would typically happen, there is no 100% guarantee that it will always happen this way.
Notice that if you do get the mount back, you will also get back the saddle, but not anything the mount had in its inventory or in the saddle.

A: Yes. No matter how you left the game, unrentable items will not be stored.

Q: How do I avoid being summoned when I don't want to be?

A: There are several objects on Middle-Earth that give protection against such summoning. Ask around for a list of these objects; many of them are known throughout the land and are easy to come by.

After a crash you'll end up in the place where you end up if you die (for whities, Halls of Mandos, for orcs, Hall of Orcs, etc). After a reboot you will be in the same place where you were before reboot. (There is one exception to this: if by any chance you were in a mudlled room that does not allow you to reconnect inside, reconnecting in such a room after reboot would move you elsewhere.)

A: When MUME crashes anything that has happened to your character from the last time you saw "Saving Character" can be lost. This of course includes any XP, TP, eq gained during that time. It also is possible that items you lost during that unsaved period could appear back in your possession. As stated in Rules Reimburse there is no reimbursement for this.

A:While playing any character if you type "account" you will see the name of your account and a list of the characters in your account.
